There are tons of the best things to do in Cabo that are scattered throughout the city and the surrounding area, as well as being so much fun. Over the years, we have discovered the best activities in Cancun and the best locations in Tulum. Additionally, we have visited remarkable places like Merida. That being said, these are all on the west coast of Mexico. One of the things I adore about Cabo is its western peninsula. In addition, they are totally amazing to see on a journey and one of Mexico’s best places to go whale watching. Not only that, but the whole beach is thus beautiful! Like, it ’s the best place to visit if you’re going to the east coast of Mexico. So, we’ve popped some of our favorite spots you ca n’t miss to help you get the most out of your time in Cabo. You may concentrate on all the comforting and exploring Cabo offers. 1. ) Playa del Amor ( Lovers Beach ) Lovers Beach, located south of Cabo’s downtown area near Land’s End, is one of the most popular beaches in Cabo San Lucas for its pristine natural beauty. Then, what I did say is. Expect a very full schedule at peak times because Loves Beach is relatively smaller and well-known to visitors. That being said, it ’s also worth visiting, particularly if you’re currently exploring the wider region beyond the local port. The best part is that you can take a stroll through some of the lagoons along the coast. First, you have Lovers Beach, rightly named because of its peaceful, lighter shores in Cabo, in my opinion. Firstly, on the other side, Playa del Divorcio is known for its great waves and risky waters that aren’t perfect for swimming. Hence the name! There are a few health and safety regulations here, and a quiet hike can be taken between the two beaches. Book a quick liquid vehicle from the shorefront of Cabo San Lucas to make things easier. They typically cost around$ 20-30 USD each. Read more: Best things to do in Tulum 2. ) Whale Watching Whale watching is perhaps the best thing to experience in Mexico, and there’s nowhere better to do that than in the Sea of Cortez ( Gulf of California ) and the Pacific coastline. If this sounds like fun, then you’ll want to get over to Cabo San Lucas between December to April ( when the dolphins are around ). Despite that, you can also reserve a whale-watching trip as early as November and expect some wonderful sightings. You see, the ocean that surrounds Cabo San Lucas is a well-known humpback whale breeding and stopover. Just make sure to reserve this whale-watching ship trip in advance. Cabo Pulmo National Park One of the things that makes the area so unique is the normal setting. Make sure to spend some time in Cabo Pulmo National Park if you plan to stay in Cabo for a few days. Cabo Pulmo National Park, which stretches from Pulmo Point to Los Frailes Cape, is incredibly large and difficult to” complete” in one day. Having said that, you can go around to some local locations as you go. This UNESCO-protected beach is home to as many marine life as it is, and you can easily examine it by taking a kayaking and snorkeling tour from Cabo itself. It’s extraordinary, especially as it ’s 1 of just 3 living coral reefs in North America you can visit. You’ll travel from Cabo San Lucas for about 9 days, stop at the ocean lion town, three snorkeling locations, and spend about 9 hours touring the island. It’s so worth it. Read more: Best things to do in Merida 4. ) Lands End Essentially, Lovers Beach is piece of Lands End in Cabo, but if you’re now visiting the beach, you can easily explore more of Lands End while you’re it. Located in Cabo’s southeastern place, Land’s End is where Lovers Beach and Playa del Divorcio meet. On this ship tour, you can visit anytime during the day, but sunset is the most wonderful time. Despite that, it is also a fantastic place to unwind and explore as part of a longer time on a chartered ship, or a shared motorboat option, which typically is much less expensive. Visiting the pier in Cabo San Lucas is without a doubt one of the best things to do when you visit. You see, it ’s just shy of Lands End and there are bunches of boat trips, shops and restaurants around. It’s the ideal location for a stroll along the harbor and a bite to eat in the first night. The twilight views are stunning from below. We adore the beautiful views across the sea from Hacienda Cocina con Cantina, especially at sunset. Though, make sure to reserve a table in advance, as chairs fill up quickly. Oh, and be sure to test their octopus with red onions and red garlic, cucumber pumpkin. It’s delightful. Read more: Best things to do in Mexico City 6. ) San Jose del Cabo If you ’ve had enough of the coastlines and the sea, a trip to San Jose del Cabo, the Old Town, is much needed. There is no need to prebook, and the car ride only lasts about 20 minutes from the city center. If you fancy a small time vacation to Cabo San Lucas, we highly recommend it and it is undoubtedly one of the best things to do there. As you can see, San Jose del Cabo is the best place to visit if you want to learn about Mexican culture and history. After these, you can stroll along the plaza and find nearby eateries that will serve you a culinary feast of Mexican fare. On Thursdays, the spot hosts a sensible, where local suppliers and artisans sell products, crafts, and keepsakes. Otherwise, head for a beach evening at Playa Hotelera, which is absolutely stunning. Read more: How to get to Isla Holbox 7. Playa Santa Maria is located 10 km from Cabo San Lucas’s city center. This stunning horseshoe-shaped sea is a part of the protected sea temple close to the coast here, and it is stunning. Then, it ’s somewhere near as famous as the beaches in Cabo San Lucas, but it ’s for a vacation if you’re now heading south down the beach. With that said, you can also reserve this all-inclusive boat trip, which includes stops at Paya Santa Maria for snorkeling and a completely free bar. Once onboard, you’ll get the chance to swim with schools of fish and see the vibrant marine life up close and personal. It’s so incredible. 8. If you fancy a day trip, Todos Santos Todos Santos is a must-see location and one of the best things to do in Cabo San Lucas. Todos Santos is situated at the foot of the Sierra de la Laguna mountain range, offering a unique sight and experience compared to the sun-kissed beaches of Cabo. This alone makes it incredible to visit, and it makes for one of our favorite towns close to Cabo. Did you know? The original Hotel California, which inspired the famous Eagles song of the same name, can be found at Todos Santos. Yup, it ’s that place! Todos Santos is currently accessible by a 55-minute car ride from Cabo, so make sure to plan your trip accordingly. Arrive early in the morning and immediately head for Playa La Cachora. The beach is gorgeous and totally unspoilt. Though, a heads up, make sure to take snacks, drinks and sunblock with you; there are n’t many amenities on the beach itself. Afterwards, head over to La Esquina for their yummy brunch menu. Their Mexican eggs ( served with beans and avocado ) are so good. 9. ) El Squid Roe In Cabo San Lucas, the day does n’t end with the sun going down. There are plenty of bars and restaurants to choose from, and you can easily spend all night out in town. El Squid Roe is at the forefront of Cabo’s night scene, offering tall cocktails, overflowing drinks, lively music, and dance raves that will keep you on your toes. It’s lively, over-the-top and great fun if you’re looking for a party atmosphere. Plus, you can easily visit El Squid Roe when visiting the Marina in Cabo, too. It’s easy to get to because it’s close to the shoreline. 10. ) Medano Beach Stretching the length of Cabo San Lucas, Medano Beach, is easily one of the region’s most popular beaches to visit. It’s a two-mile-long shoreline peppered with rental facilities, bars, restaurants, and a few beach clubs thrown in. The waters here are the best for a lot of water-related activities or just lounging on the sand because they are so mild and calm. The Pacific Ocean can be fierce, but you should always be wary of riptides when swimming. Once here, head over to The Office on the Beach for lunch and cocktails. It’s a pretty lively location that’s worth visiting for a few hours of entertainment. That being said, if you fancy a more chilled-out day at Medano Beach, then head further east. The further you stroll, the less developed the beach area becomes.
