Airlines from Budapest Airport to New Guangzhou and Xian

Direct flights from Budapest Airport to Guangzhou and Xi’an, as well as the upcoming addition of Shenzhen in early August, have increased the number of weekly flights between Hungary and China to twenty. China Southern has played a crucial role in making Guangzhou, a significant economic center in China, more accessible through direct flights.
Guangdong Province, where Guangzhou is situated, contributes 10% of China’s GDP, highlighting the importance of this connection for the Hungarian economy. Moreover, the Pearl River Delta region, which includes Hong Kong, Macau, Shenzhen, and Guangzhou, is the world’s largest hub for research and development in information technology and renewable energy. With a population exceeding 15 million, Guangzhou is home to major Chinese investors in Hungary, such as BYD, Huawei, ZTE, Sunwoda, and Eve Energy.
The new destinations will serve as important hubs for passengers departing from Budapest for onward travel within China and Asia, while the flights to Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou offer convenient connections to Australia and New Zealand.
