TSA Administrator David Pekoske and TSA officers, along with US Travel Association representatives and members of the Seamless and Secure Travel Commission, showcased cutting- border security checkpoint technologies at the Innovation Checkpoint, located at Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas, on Wednesday.
The commission was established in January to address the concerning results of a research on the declining global attractiveness of the United States. The committee consists of individuals who have formerly held government jobs as well as professionals from the private sector. Their primary objective is to develop policy suggestions for the federal government in order to improve the vacation experience, enhance competitiveness, and facilitate growth in the country.
During the Las Vegas vacation, the TSA and DHS Science &amp, Technology Directorate had a chance to show state- of- the- art advancements that increase transportation security and enhance the travel process. During the visit, members of the commission had the opportunity to see the implementation of TSA PreCheck Touchless ID on a United flight, as well as know about TSA’s dedication to collaborating with industry partners like United Airlines and Delta Air Lines to provide Contactless Identity Verification at ready TSA PreCheck locations.
The payment plans to conduct further field visits in the future months to employ federal agencies and obtain insights on best practices, challenges, and growth opportunities in the travel industry. The percentage will offer its report later this month. SOURCE: TSA and DHS Innovations at Las Vegas Harry Reid Airport BY: eTurboNews | eTN
