IDeaS, a SAS company, has announced that Katathani Collection has grown revenues across two of its resort properties by 15% with IDeaS G3 Revenue Management System (RMS.) Katathani Collection adopted IDeaS G3 RMS across two properties: Katathani Phuket Beach Resort and The Shore.

Katathani Collection is an award-winning, Thai-based hospitality group operating in Phuket, Khao Lak, and Chiang Rai. Faced with growing competition from local resorts, Katathani Collection needed to upgrade its approach to revenue management by automating and refining its pricing strategy. 

Katathani Collection selected IDeaS G3 RMS to provide real-time data analysis, forecasting, and decision-making, elevating the resort group’s approach to revenue management. The hotel group has already seen substantial business results through data-driven pricing and distribution strategies.

Manually collecting data sets and calculating information via spreadsheets was time-consuming and introduced potential errors and missed opportunities, which could negatively impact our group’s profitability. Since adopting G3 RMS, Katathani Collection has seen its revenues grow by 15 percent. The resort group has also experienced significant demand growth, and its Average Daily Rate (ADR) has increased by 20 percent. 

Considering the variety of accommodation options across its resorts, Katathani Collection also needed enhanced pricing flexibility and optimization at the room type level. IDeaS G3 RMS now provides precise room type pricing by considering factors like demand, guest willingness to pay, room type hierarchy, and the impact of competitor products. The continuous pricing functionality within the IDeaS G3 RMS enables the resort group to optimally price each room type without rate tiers or fixed room type offsets.
