Posted: 4/11/24 | April 11th, 2024 Florence is one of the most beautiful places in Italy. Its overall historic middle is a lovely UNESCO World Heritage Site, there’s art outside, and the food here is extremely delicious. I’ve been going to the city on and on for the past sixteen times, and I’ve always been blown away by how wonderful it is. You feel as though you have traveled through time around. Since Florence is such a common destination, there are tons of resorts around. Some of them are wonderful, and some of them not so wonderful. Over the years, I’ve stayed in a lot of different hotels in the city. To help you prepare your visit, here’s my list of the best resorts in Florence: 1. This stunning three-star hotel is set next to the cathedral of the Santa Maria Novella Basilica and is decorated in a standard Florentine design. Each area is unique, with sweet yellow walls and ancient features that include vintage terracotta floors, elongated ceilings, and exposed brick walls. The pleasant breakfast is excellent, with a lot of variety ( such as cakes, yogurt, cakes, cold cuts, and espresso beverages ). Best of all, it’s served in a pleasant courtyard with a glass roof. All areas have a flatscreen TV, minibar, table, Nespresso system, hairdryer, and healthy. The bedrooms are luxurious and the panels are soundproofed, but you’ll be able to sleep well here. While the restrooms are a little little, there’s excellent water pressure in the rains, a toilet, towel warming racks, and pleasant toiletries. There are also less expensive single-bed bedrooms for single travelers that are more expensive than the traditional double-bed rooms. Nevertheless, it’s an economical choice in one of the better districts in the city. Book below! 2. Hotel DavanzatiThis comfortable three-star hotel in the center of the historic district ( only a block from Ponte Vecchio ) provides a lot of benefit. The complimentary continental breakfast is really different, with fresh berries, yogurt, cereals, pastries, and chilly cuts. Additionally, there are social time, including an aperitivo with Prosecco and spicy bites and complimentary beverages and snacks, including afternoon tea and pastries. The walls of the pastel-colored walls with traditional drawings and maps on them are decorated. All rooms are very spacious and feature comfortable beds, a table, flatscreen Television, and a wardrobe. The rooms have huge showers with exceptional water pressure and heated towel racks. The staff actually goes above and beyond to assist you with anything you might have. ( Just be aware that there is no elevator, so it’s not the best choice for those with mobility issues. ) Book around! 3. The Place FirenzeThis five-star resort is situated in a 17th-century restored tower on Piazza Santa Maria Novella. The hotel has an outdoor terrace right on the piazza, offering Tuscan specialties, drinks, and an excellent breakfast spread in the morning ( it’s included in your stay ). A little top has incredible views and free access to a gymnasium just a few hours away. An prize- winning shop home ( there are just 20 rooms these ), all the rooms are individually decorated in pastel colors, with special painting, lamps, and bespoke furniture. A minibar ( with complimentary soft drinks and snacks ), a flatscreen TV, and a large desk are all provided in the rooms as well. There is also plenty of natural light in the rooms. The elegant marble bathrooms have a bidet, complimentary luxury toiletries, plush bathrobes, and slippers. Some rooms have separate deep tubs, and the pressure in the showers is good. You’ll want nothing from here, but the exceptionally helpful staff will go out of their way to get it for you if you do. If you’re looking to spend a lot of money in Florence, this hotel is the most exclusive in the city. Book here! 4. The three-star hotel La Maison du Sage is situated off the Piazza di Santa Croce in the heart of the lively Santa Croce neighborhood. The entire property is a boutique property with eclectic design, including interesting artwork and pastel-colored walls. I particularly enjoy all the cool Art Deco pieces of furniture. There’s also an excellent breakfast buffet featuring pastries, juice, eggs, ham, cheese, and fresh fruit. The hotel’s large, well-lit rooms have the same chic design as the rest of the hotel and are filled with natural light. The amenities include a minibar, flat-screen satellite TV, a Nespresso coffee machine, and a kettle for tea in all rooms, which have hardwood or parquet floors. The bathrooms are large and have walk-in rainfall showers ( some with separate soaking tub ), heated towel racks, and a bidet. This is a fantastic option for travelers who want to experience more local culture while remaining close to Centro Storico. It’s a really nice property that offers a lot of value for the money. Book here! 5. Hotel Palazzo Guadagni This three-star hotel is situated on Piazza Santo Spirito in the upscale Santo Spirito district in a 16th-century Florentine palace. The smartly decorated rooms retain many of the features from their aristocratic days, such as high ceilings, large windows, antique furniture, frescoed ceilings, and fireplaces. In- room amenities include a minibar, flatscreen TV, and a safe. The large and tiled bathrooms offer heated towel racks, a bidet, fluffy bathrobes, and slippers. However, the rooftop terrace and its stunning views over the city are my favorite features of this hotel. They have a fantastic complimentary breakfast spread in the mornings, and at night you can watch the sun set over the red rooftops while drinking a beverage. This hotel has a lot more luxuation than your typical three-star hotel. I believe this is the ideal option for illiterate travelers who want to see native Florentine life on the other side of the Arno River. Book here! 6. Hotel Bernini PalaceThis five-star hotel is set in a 15th-century structure, and as its name would suggest, it feels like you were inside a palace. The grand lobby features arched ceilings and doorways in a fusion of Italian and Moroccan design. The complimentary breakfast buffet is served in a room with a rich history ( Italian Parliamentarian heads used to meet here ) and a stunning frescoed ceiling. The elegant rooms feature wood- beamed ceilings, parquet or terracotta floors, glass chandeliers, antique furnishings, and comfy beds with gilded headboards. The rooms are spacious and have all the amenities you’d expect from a hotel of this caliber, including minibars, flatscreen TVs, desks, and air conditioning. The marble bathrooms are huge too and include a bidet, plush bathrobes and slippers, and a hairdryer. The Duomo is a 5-minute walk away, making this the best place to stay for luxury in Florence.
