The Israeli military has retrieved the remains of two Israeli hostages who had been abducted on October 7.

On Tuesday night, the Israel Defense Forces reported that they had obtained the remains of two hostages. The process of recovery and repatriation to Israel was accomplished by military personnel from the 504 Intelligence Group and the brigade of 551. Upon recovery and verification by medical workers and military rabbis, the families of Eden Zakaria and Ziv Dado, an IDF Warrant Officer, were notified of the situation and given the news that the bodies had been brought back to Israel. Zakaria, 27, was at the Re’im Supernova music celebration when she was seized by terrorists. It was reported that she formed part of a group of 40 people taken hostage during the attack. Dado, aged 36, who was the subject of intelligence by the IDF and identified as an “injured soldier being held captive”, had been functioning as a logistics supervisor in the 51st Battalion of the Golani Brigade when he was killed on 7th October in the midst of all the mayhem.
