Everything is ready for the next celebration of TIS – Tourism Innovation Summit 2023, the leading event on tourism innovation that will once again make Seville the world epicenter of tourism with the latest innovations that are transforming the sector. From 18 to 20 October, more than 7,000 national and international professionals will gather at TIS2023, generating an economic impact of more than 20 million euros for the city of Seville, in Spain, which has been named European Capital of Smart Tourism 2023.

Among the new features, this year the show will move to Hall 2 of FIBES, which has doubled the size of the exhibition area, with more than 200 firms exhibiting the latest solutions in areas such as Artificial Intelligence, Cloud, ChatGPT, Business Intelligence, Virtual and Augmented Reality, Web 3.0, Cybersecurity, Big Data & Analytics, Marketing Automation, GIS, Contactless Technology and Predictive Analytics, among others. Leading companies such as Accenture, Amadeus, CitySightseeing Worldwide, Eurecat, Mabrian, Telefónica, CaixaBank, PastView, T-Systems, Turijobs, UnBlock and Why Tenerife will showcase their latest innovations.

Under the slogan “Travel Revolution Takes Off,” TIS2023 has scheduled more than 150 conferences in six auditoriums, where more than 400 of the world’s leading experts will share the latest innovations that are defining the new paradigm of tourism. Speakers such as Céline Cousteau, documentary filmmaker, socio-environmental advocate, explorer and founder of CauseCentric Productions; Tim Leberecht, one of the most relevant experts on the most human leadership in business; Tuija Seipel, a global leader in customer experience innovation in the North American hospitality sector; and Jenny Southan, an expert on travel trends, will present the disruptions that are transforming the industry.

They will be joined by Guy Bigwood, CEO of the Global Destination Sustainability Movement (GDS) and expert in regenerative tourism; Alfonso Vegara, PhD in Urban and Regional Planning and graduate in Architecture, Economics and Sociology; and Carmen Bustos, recognized by Forbes Spain as one of the 100 most creative people, who will contribute their valuable perspectives on the next decade of tourism.

Global consulting firms such as Phocuswright and Skift, world leaders in innovation, will share the most disruptive trends driving the current and future industry model, focusing on hyper-personalization and new traveler experiences. In this context, TIS2023 will explore the possibilities of using a careful marketing strategy to improve the customer experience, as well as analyze the popularity of “set-jetting” or the influence of series and movies on traveler decision-making. In addition, the initiatives being implemented to promote the MICE sector and business travel will also be discussed.

Global inspiration that crosses borders

The new edition of the TIS – Tourism Innovation Summit will extend its knowledge beyond European borders. For the first time, TIS will have Mexico as a guest country partner, the only territory that did not close during the pandemic, which will share its experience to promote the attractiveness of an international power that responds to relevant challenges such as sustainability, international competition, or the importance of having an adequate infrastructure for travelers’ visits.

In addition, TIS2023 will present the best experiences of other destinations such as Ecuador, China and Greece, as well as Spanish cities such as Santander, Badajoz, Madrid, Segovia and Gijón, in order to optimize the promotion of their destinations and improve the experience of travelers.

TIS2023 will also host the celebration of the congress A World For Travel, which, after its presence in Evora (Portugal) and Nimes (France), comes to Seville to offer initiatives that promote the growth of responsible tourism worldwide. In addition, the I World Congress of the CIDH will bring together hotel managers who will share the keys to implementing strategies adapted to the new needs of travelers.
