With only a few days until the Total Solar Eclipse, PennDOT and another Erie companies are educating customers about various options to help make the big moment a little less tense.
With roughly 200, 000 people scheduled to travel to Erie County alone for the big time, PennDOT, EMTA, and VisitErie are reminding visitors and residents that 511PA users will obtain up-to-the-minute information on customers for the eclipse.
Where to get completely solar eclipse cups global
The new website includes specific route and time planning information for the City of Erie as well as other suggested routes and times for you to get there.
Six stops will run from 9 a.m. to 9 a.m. to the Intermodal Center ( ITC ), then up State Street to Perry Square, down Holland Street to the Intermodal Center, and back down Holland Street to the Intermodal Center until traffic clears.

Additionally, all organizations are urging drivers to take the following steps:
Plan ahead for longer than usual travel days to and from sites.
Consider needed supplies, such as liquid, meals and medicines.
Leave the highway to perceive the eclipse.
Switch on your lighting.
Get watch out for more pedestrian traffic and cars on the shoulder.
Always take photos or videos while driving with your phone.
Get off eclipse cups while driving.
Keep Pennsylvania Beautiful and do n’t litter.

State officers will also be stationed along highways to remove any disabled cars and issue a warning to individuals not to park on the side of bridges, arms, or intersections to see the eclipse.

On April 8, the EMTA will also be providing public transportation options throughout the region along with their regularly scheduled roads. On their website, click here for more details about roads and various details.
