Bless you, Dubai Police…Last month, more especially, on Tuesday, April 16, the UAE was hit with some very severe weather, the fallout of which residents are also trying to sort out over a week later. The Dubai is providing some responsibilty to motorists who incurred charges on that rainy day to support residents getting back on track without incurring a financial blow. Via their official X ( previously, Twitter ) account, Dubai Police tweeted,’ Lieutenant General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, Commander- in- Chief of Dubai Police, announced that all traffic fines recorded on Tuesday, 16th April, during the period when the city experienced extreme weather conditions, will be waived’ The post added that the decision to waive the traffic violations ‘ reflects Dubai Police’s commitment to the community and to ensuring their safety, especially during exceptional circumstances,’ But Dubai is n’t the only city in the UAE to offer this good news. In the midst of the wind, Sharjah people even had their charges waived. Dubai’s crown prince, HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, issued a directive earlier this week to the Dubai Land Department ( DLD ) and the Real Estate Regulatory Agency ( RERA ) to provide residents with alternative housing, food, and enhanced security for free. Emaar, a Dubai designer, has also offered to repair all of the properties that have been damaged this week for free. The beautiful community, which has been running assistance initiatives for those most directly impacted by the recent downpour, also joined together as usual to offer a helping hand.
