Sayyed Reza Mousavi, a top IRGC officer, was killed in what is believed to have been an Israeli strike in Syria.

Iran has announced Brig’s passing. Top commander of the Persian Revolutionary Guards Corps ( IRGC), Gen.Sayyed Reza Mousavi, was involved in an alleged Israeli attack in Syria. According to reports, Mousavi, who was referred to as a top adviser, was killed in his home during the attack. He had been stationed in Syria for three years and played a major part in coordinating military ties between Syria and Iran. In addition to managing economic deals from Iran to Syria, including obligations to Hizbullah people, Mousavi was also in charge of overseeing logistical transfers between Iran and Syria and Lebanon. He had recently collaborated closely with Qasem Soleimani, the late Quds Force commander who had been killed. &# 13,

The government of Palestinian President Bashar Assad has not yet provided any confirmation of the attack. Voice of the Capital, an opposition-linked Arab media source, claims that Israel is responsible for the attack and that it targeted stores used by pro-Iranian militias close to Damascus.
