20 % of Americans Will Go Into Debt for Their 2024 Go Programs

But even as economic pressures weigh over, travel is still a priority. NerdWallet’s annual summer vacation study, conducted by The Harris Poll, reported that 45 % of Americans plan to take a trip that requires a hotel or trip this summer. 118 million Americans plan to take vacations that call for hotel reservations or bookings of airfares, or both, around. That will result in approximately$ 424 billion spent this summer, according to NerdWallet. Between January 30 and February 1, the Harris Poll polled 2, 000 Americans over the age of 18 Additionally, according to the research, 20 % of Americans intend to spend at least some of their money on credit cards without paying it off in the initial billing period. Overall, 83 % plan to put some of their planned vacation on a credit card. However, 91 % of respondents claim to be making changes to their travel plans because the cost of daily life is so high. Driving instead of flying is one of the most popular ways Americans save money, with 43 % of respondents choosing the road over the air. What are the best way for guests to save money? Respondents said that the other best ways to cut costs were choosing to use credit card points or miles to cover costs were choosing lodging based on price, never amenities, flights based on price, not advantage, and using accommodations based on price, not facilities. ” Millions of Americans are hitting the road this summer, with some attempting to travel to their summer spots, which may be a more economical choice than flying”, said Sally French, a NerdWallet traveling professional. However, some people are still being held back by the high cost of vacation despite the fact that there are still many Americans who intend to travel in 2024. For 22 % of the people staying house, they say it is due to the lingering effects of inflation. The spike in the cost of living is also limiting the ability of many would-be travelers, despite inflation peaking in 2022 and having since reached a somewhat more stable level.
