Jamaica Tourism Minister, Hon. Edmund Bartlett, who praised the significance of the event, praised the fact that” this fair helps you debunk the myth that commerce is a low-pay, low-skill action. We are constructing the fresh labor that you will be a part of based on two crucial elements. One is significance. a rating based on your ability and qualification. The other is capital. The Expo was a gateway of chance and learning, from the lively beginning service to the engaging lessons that took place throughout the day. More than 700 students were able to network with the 15 organizations, which showcased the depth of careers in commerce, from traditional roles to sectors not generally associated with commerce, highlighting the company’s varied career possible. Kids spoke with senior business professionals and got the contact information for local businesses.

Students from eight schools participated in a lively Jeopardy-style game that ended the day on a high note, showcasing their knowledge and enthusiasm for tourism. Olecia Robinson, a student of HEART College for Hospitality Services emerged victorious, winning$ 50, 000 for her school and a tablet and trophy for herself.
The JCTI Career Expo has once again proven to be a pivotal event for students, educators, and industry professionals alike, fostering connections, and inspiring the next generation of tourism leaders in Jamaica. With more than 15, 000 individuals certified through the JCTI, this year’s attendees are set to form the genesis for the next 15, 000 tourism professionals to receive global benchmark certifications.
