According to highway construction in the Bighorn National Forest, travel delays are anticipated this summer.

The Story/Penrose path, North Piney path, and Stockwell path will start receiving contract work this summer from Bighorn National Forest trail personnel. For the road work, stakes have recently been set up that mark work locations. According to a transfer from the Forest Service, job may involve blasting on Story/Penrose path. Travel delays may appear, but no closures are anticipated. The closer the date the notification will be shared, so that visitors can make other plans as needed. Another route job may involve foot reconditioning, stream passing work, excavation, corridor work such as brush trimming, and some hazard tree removal.
