The 2024 Arabian Travel Market was inaugurated by Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, who holds several positions, including chairman of the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority, chair of Dubai Airports, and chairman and CEO of Emirates Airline and Group. The Dubai World Trade Center will host this top world travel and tourism event from May 6 through May 9. This year’s function is the largest in its history, with 2, 300 attendees from 165 states and an expected enrollment of around 41, 000 customers. Since its founding in 1994 with 300 exhibitors and 7, 000 business visitors, ATM has grown into a globe- renowned celebration encompassing all sectors of traveling, including MICE, leisure, luxury hospitality, and business travel, with a 26 percent increase in exhibitor participation this year. Sheikh Ahmed even toured the exhibition’s different pavilions, accompanied by Abdullah bin Touq Al Marri, Minister of Economy, Hilal Saeed Al Marri, Director- General of the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism, Danielle Curtis, Regional Director of the Arabian Travel Market, and other high- standing officials and industry leaders. ATM 2024 will center around the theme” Empowering Innovation: Transforming Travel Through Entrepreneurship”, emphasizing the crucial influence of visionary entrepreneurs across aviation, hotels, hospitality, and public attractions on the future of travel. Over 50 sessions will be held on the Global Stage and the recently introduced Future Stage, and 200 speakers will participate in the four-day conference. The Global Stage will host daily summits focused on entrepreneurship, emerging markets, sustainability, and luxury travel. The Future Stage will delve into innovation, showcasing sessions on AI, future travel destinations, travel technology, and trend forecasting. The inaugural day of ATM 2024 includes 12 sessions across both stages, starting with the” Global Stage Welcome: The Gateway to Global Insights” keynote by Issam Abdulrahim Kazim, CEO of the Dubai Corporation for Tourism and Commerce Marketing. Additionally, the day will feature a Ministerial Debate on streamlining tourism within the GCC and a Market Insights Summit, highlighting entrepreneurship, luxury, and sustainability as key themes. With the session” Beyond the Hype: Demystifying 2024 Travel Tech Trends” on the Future Stage, Day Two will examine key trends in travel technology. In the meantime, The Global Stage will convene aviation experts from IATA, Riyadh Air, AviationXLab, and Cirium to discuss how technology is revolutionizing aviation. This will be followed by a session titled” Navigating the Future of Air Travel” featuring Paul Griffiths, CEO of Dubai Airports. Concurrently, Travel Tech, the travel technology exhibition at ATM, will run through May 7th, highlighting the cutting- edge technologies that are transforming the travel and hospitality industries. The Entrepreneurship Summit will address both how global disruptions act as innovation catalysts and how to encourage entrepreneurship in travel and tourism to promote economic growth on May 7. A ten-day celebration of travel and tourism, ATM 2024, takes place in Dubai during Arabian Travel Week. This event includes other key happenings such as the ATM Start- up competition, ATM Travel Tech, GBTA Business Travel Forums, and Buyer Networking.
