Moroccan is a place that is having a second right now, 50 hours ago.
This amazing social hub in North Africa set yet another tourism history in the first fourth of 2024, breaking the previous record set in 2023.
I recently took my first trip to Morocco, and I was shocked to learn that it is astonishingly popular with solo travelers, also solo female travelers.
Morocco might not be the second position that comes to mind when you think of solo travel, but I did meet some other single travellers it. Which makes feel when you consider the trend for single travel and the general growth in tourism in Morocco.
Why is Morocco a startlingly good place to travel alone when you travel there:
It Gets Really Safe
I’m not going to rest, when I first got to Morocco, I was feeling a little hesitant.
I recently returned from Egypt, which I do NOT suggest to solo sexual travelers.
Morocco should be more similar, in my opinion.
Instead, I was surprised to learn that I did n’t face as much hassling or harassment as I had in Egypt.
The safest sense places to me were Marrakech, Rabat, and Chefchaoeun.
There are some places in Morocco that you wo n’t want to travel alone, even in cities; however, doing so requires a lot of research and extra caution when doing so.
But nevertheless, I felt quite safe during my day as a single traveler in Morocco.
It’s Really Economical
Morocco’s affordability makes it a great choice for solo guests, which is another plus.
For$ 40 per night or even less for a more basic hotel or hostel, you can stay in a nice riad, a traditional type of Moroccan lodging that resembles a bed and breakfast.
Food is another area of your budget where you wo n’t have to spend a lot of money, as I did in Morocco, where I had plenty of delicious meals for less than$ 10.
Transportation is also fairly inexpensive, such as the high-speed train that travels from Casablanca to Marrakech in three hours for about$ 15.
A Digital Nomad Hub Becomes
Morocco is a fantastic place to travel to in 2024 if you’re a single traveler working mildly as a digital wanderer around the world.
It is quickly gaining popularity as Africa’s best electric wanderer hub.
Particularly as a digital nomad, Marrakech is a great position to center yourself. While also giving you easy access to one of the world’s most interesting historical destinations, this lively city offers all the amenities you may need as a digital nomad.
It’s a very convenient base because you can fly to Europe from Marrakech in just a few hours ( both Spain and Portugal are less than two hours away by air ).
Lots Of Tour Options
Finally, Morocco offers a lot of fantastic options for group tours if you prefer to travel alone but do n’t want to travel there on your own.
I really did this when I first started my Moroccan exploration of the lakes.
Firms like G Adventures and Intrepid Travel give tour in Morocco where you can go there for a week or two with a group of like-minded guests.
This reduces shipping ( and makes it simpler to travel to places you’d find more difficult to reach freely ) and still leaves you with plenty of time to explore independently.
It’s not a requirement, of course, because traveling alone in Morocco and booking all yourself, including transportation is ( which is relatively simple since Morocco has a reliable train system connecting the main tourist areas ).
